The best way to fix the world is to fix yourself, by starting with a small approach and scaling up.

Everyone can improve something about themselves, in some way. Nobody is perfect all of the time. So in order to fix the world we need to start it by ourselves, fixing our physical environment like our room, our workspace our closet, or anything that we feel needs a little change and can be sorted and organized.

Every morning, finding clothes to wear for that day was a real struggle as my closet was very disorganzied. This was actually the messiest part of my room. So yesterday I took an initiative to arrange and sort my clothes, discard the old ones arrange them in a proper manner.

Before: Disorganized Closet
Before: Disorganized closet

I first took all the clothes out and arranged them in separate groups for shirts, t-shirts, casuals, and kurta, etc. then gave them a fold and organized them in piles. and separate out the one to be hung. I also discard the old clothes and packed the ones for winter separately. Then put it all back in a well-organized manner.

After: Organized closet

This activity was really fun and soothing and gave me a sense of accomplishment. If this fixing was not in our project task, maybe i would have done the task a little late but Amal really pushed me to be a better person and improving myself on a small scale

This activity was actually a sign of leadership without authority and I did it on my own on behalf of my responsibility. It also reflects the idea of ‘KHUDI’ that we can learn from our daily life chores and by correcting them and improving ourselves with a little experience.
P.S. My mom was super happy after seeing an arranged closet :)
